Today you and your students will be talking about the cost of living in New York City for a “normal” young person. Fallon left her affordable hometown for New York City to follow her dream of becoming a professional dancer. In the meantime, she works at a restaurant to pay the bills while trying to outperform other talented dancers in bustling New York City.

If you like warmers (it’s basically my favorite part of the lesson), ask your students to come up with a budget for a single 30-year-old in New York City. Does it match the one in the video?
