ESL Discussion: Who is Julian Assange?
There is a big court case in the UK coming up for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, so his name is again being shouted in the streets. Time to take a quick look back on the man, his site and his impact on the world we live in today.
Warm-up: Ask your students for one thing they know about Julian Assange. Make a list.
Watch the video once: Compare the list you created with the information in the video.
Review the vocabulary on the worksheet and answer any questions.
Watch the video again and then put your students in pairs to answer the listening comprehension questions.
Switch partners and complete the speaking activity.
Put students in small groups to complete the group activity.
Come back together as a class to discuss the findings made in the group activity stage.

Unfortunately, this video is no longer available! Is it possible to fix that?

I will have to build a whole new lesson plan because yes, apparently this video is completely gone 🙁
Thank you for letting me know!
