Question Dominos
An online-friendly and printable domino-inspired game to practice questions with your pre-intermediate (A2) students.
While I would love to have a perfectly digital version of our original Grammino games, this is a good second-best option! Use this A4 poster as an online activity or printable to practice the questions suitable for your pre-intermediate (A2) students. They will make questions based in the present, past and future tenses.
Students can play in pairs, small groups or as a class. The point is to make connections between the beginning of a sentence and the image on the next domino (follow the arrows!). Be sure to let students know that the image is only there to inspire a response and does not need to be used literally.
Once you’ve made it around the full loop, students can use the questions they created with a partner as a discussion activity. Then, do it again without repeating any of the same questions on the first loop. See how far you can go and how deep your students’ imagination and language skills can take them!
