Draw their dream home.

A very straightforward activity where your students will put their drawing skills to the test!

Students can work individually, in pairs, or as a group. The PDF consists of 2 pages. First, show the students the character profiles on page 1 and ask them to choose. Then, show the gridded sheet and let them read the directions. Make sure everyone understands the constraints. Finally, let them use their whiteboard tools to draw their dream home. Of course, students can draw directly on the grid if used as a printable!

At the end, make everyone write a description of the house they have drawn, or better yet have the other students write descriptions of the houses they see, and then see how well they match the creator’s thoughts.

Another idea could be to put students in pairs, each choosing their own profile, and then describing what their dream house should look like while their partner draws it. Oh, I like that idea!

As a teacher of ESL and French as a foreign language for several years, I have had the opportunity to work in several countries and with a wide variety of students. Now my job got even better: I get to help make your lessons all pretty and fun! Rather cool, I'd say.

It takes a team of 13 to create and produce this material. In order for that to continue, please think about purchasing your own subscription to ESL Expertz and encourage your colleagues to do the same. We appreciate your confidence and support!
