What’s it Like to be a Psychopath?
Listen to one woman describing what it’s like to be a psychopath with our ESL discussion worksheet.
What do you think of when you hear the word psychopath? Do you think you’ve ever met one? While looking for the perfect video to accompany this ESL discussion worksheet, I learned a lot about the everyday psychopath. They walk among us! But they are basically harmless, it seems. However, their perspectives on the world around them is truly specific and difficult to imagine as a normie. This small part of a much larger multi-part and multi-person interview sheds some light on one person’s experience with this personality disorder. Hope it ignites a great discussion!
- Warm-up question ideas: What’s the first thing you think of when you hear the word “psychopath”. Make a list with your students’s descriptions and thoughts.
- Watch the video once and ask students to compare what they said before the video with what was mentioned in the video.
- Look at the vocabulary words on the PDF before watching the video a second time.
- Put students in pairs to answer the questions on the left.
