A0 Alphabet and Spelling Activity

Discover new vocabulary with the help of your own students, practice spelling and pronunciation while reviewing the alphabet more intensely.

A quick review of the alphabet, discovery of new words, and pronunciation practice has got your class fired up. Let's see what words they can come up with on their own, now. Students work individually. Give them time to complete the worksheet, writing in words that begin with each letter of the alphabet. Once time is up, go through each letter together; what words did your students come up with? Any student with an original word (one that nobody else used in their own worksheet), gets a point. Have them give you their spelling of that word and give them a bonus point if it's spelled correctly. This is a great activity for spelling, alphabet review and vocabulary discovery!
