This homophones and pronunciation activity allows you to discover or review some phonetics rules. The activity can be carried out as a group. Distribute the worksheet to each learner. The goal of the activity is to find, on each card, the word that is pronounced differently among the three options. In turns, ask a learner to choose a card, pronounce the 3 words on it, and identify which one is the odd one out. Correct the pronunciation if necessary and emphasize the rules of phonics and spelling. The activity ends when all the cards have been used.
