Talk about Family Situations

Talk about family situations that are typical, a bit weird, cool and complicated while your students practice their family vocabulary and get some good speaking time in.

Discussing family vocabulary in your ESL classroom but need something to take your bright students a little bit further? Practice and review that vocabulary while you talk about family situations in pairs, small groups or as a class. Check off one of the phrases and ask a student to choose between the 4 propositions and share their opinion on the matter. Or, put students in pairs or small groups to discuss together while you monitor their progress. Continue the activity until all the boxes have been checked.
