Sports Review – Board Game
This sports vocabulary review board is easy to implement in your online or offline classroom, just display or print it, roll a die and play!
Instructions
This Sports Review Board Game is designed for the online classroom, but works great as a printable, too!
- Display the PDF and screen share it or print it out for small groups.
- Give every player a token, or create them with your whiteboard tools.
- Students take turns rolling a die (or a virtual one) to advance their token.
- When a student lands on a space, they must name a sport or physical activity that fits the description.
- Once a sport or activity has been named, it cannot be repeated! So, keep a running list.
- If a student is stumped, they move back two spaces from where they landed. If they are correct, they can keep their token on the space.
- The first student to reach the finish wins.
Think about making a list of questions for each activity your students name to prolong the activity. For example:
- Do you follow this sport? Who’s your favorite player or team?
- Do you watch this sport on TV? Why do you like it?
- Would you prefer to watch this live or on television? Why?
- Do you play this sport? Why or why not?
