Online Friendly ESL Discussion Worksheet: Tips for Finding Inspiration
Another future classic no-prep ESL discussion. Today you and your students will be discussing inspiration, and more specifically, what to do when this necessary ingredient is elusive. The video comes from Forbes, a trusted American periodical, which has a series of videos on leadership. The video gives 7 tips for anyone struggling to find inspiration.
If you like warmers, you can do one of two quick activities. Ask your students the question at the top of the worksheet. Explain the sound “meh” if needed. Have you ever had a case of the ‘mehs’? Let students share one by one. Or, you could ask your students to come up with a noise that describes the state of their life right now. Can they spell it? 😉
Start by distributing the PDF to your students, and then watch the video below. Follow the directions for listening for gist and listening for detail.
As always, there are listening comprehension questions and a speaking activity. This 60-90 minute discussion activity would be a good challenge for your pre-intermediate students (A2-B1) or just a great conversation for your intermediate and advanced students.

I’m logged in, but I can’t seem to find the download button…

If you’ve logged in and you cannot see the download pdf button, then it means you do not have the Total Teacher Access subscription. Some of them are only for TTA subscribers. You can find out more about TTA here: https://eslexpertz.com/product/total-teacher-access/

Sure, but this was in the ‘free activities’ section, so I assumed it should be available without TTA. Even so, there’s no price on this worksheet to purchase it individually.

Sorry about this. We made mistakes and some resources landed in the wrong place.
Check out this page, https://eslexpertz.com/category/no-prep-esl-discussion/
some resources that were TTA only are now free instead of this one.
There won’t be a possibility to purchase individually. But I can assure you the TTA is worth it.
