Halloween Traditions and Decorations
Get your students to talk about Halloween traditions with a conversational mind map for all levels!
How does it work?
- Distribute or pass out a copy of the mind map along with a copy of the word list to each individual, pair, or group. If you are working in a classroom with a larger group, you can cut out the words from the word list and scatter them around the mind map.
- Working alone, in pairs, a group or as a class, students must organize the words into the different boxes on the mind map by creating sentences that justify their choices. Have them draw a card at random or choose from those that are visible.
Naturally, they may or may not be in agreement with their peers… Perfect. Let the conversation commence! Make yourself small and quiet until everyone has had the chance to give their opinion or thought on the matter.
