ESL Family Tree Activity
Our take on the ESL family tree activity is online friendly and actually looks good. No need for the textbook activity that doesn’t work.
You’d think after decades of people teaching English around the world, a textbook would have finally figured out how to make a useable and attractive ESL family tree activity… No bother, we’ve done the work!
Put students in pairs, small groups or let them work individually. Give them some time to read the text and fill in their family trees. Check the work as a class and then display the finished family tree.
Take turns asking your students “What is the relationship between… and…? (as seen at the bottom right of the PDF) as many times as it takes for them to integrate the information.
