Interview with Justin Peaber
In this simple interview activity for A1 learners, students must piece together a fragmented interview with Justin Peaber and then make their own interview.
Interviews can be a great way for students to learn English at all levels. Chances are you’ve already encountered some interviews in whatever textbook you are using right now. I remember one textbook that had a mini interview with Tom Hanks where I learned that he collected typewriters. Who knew?! Apparently everybody… This simple interview activity for beginners has been crafted for A0-A1 students and can be used as a discovery, practice or review tool for some of those first presentation and introduction questions we all must learn in a new language if we want to have any chance of meeting people or making friends.
In this simple interview activity, students must unjumble a jumbled up interview with Justin Peaber, a well-known pop star. They can do this individually, in pairs or as a class. Once the basic questions have been taken care of, think about prolonging the activity with one of these options:
- Have students come up with more questions to ask Justin Peaber.
- Have pairs interview each other with similar questions, then present their partners to the class.
- Put students in pairs, each taking turns pretending to be a celebrity, for example the two at the bottom right of the worksheet. They can answer the questions with their imagination or look up the information on their phones during class.
