Here is a game that is both creative and grammar-focused to get your students to practice their question-making skills with dozens of themes. This game is an ideal tool to practice forming questions without the use of boring fill-in-the-blank type activities. The tool guides your students through their practice. You just need to set it up and listen!

The game comes with a question word review sheet, 48 theme cards, and 6 constraints. Each theme card has 3 responses written on it. Students will ask questions within the theme that can be answered by theses 3 responses. It is an elegant and simple concept to understand that will get your students asking interesting, original, and complex questions in English. While the basic version is great for A1 students, the constraint cards give you the perfect activity for your A2 and B1 students.

Use this tool during a lesson on forming direct or indirect questions, question words, conditional structures, or as a quick review at the end or beginning of any lesson.

Target Language

• open questions using every type of question word: who, what, when, where, whose, why, how, how much… etc.;
• closed questions;
• indirect questions using indirect phrases like “Can you tell me…” “I wonder…” “Do you know…” etc.;
• conditional questions.
