Solve The Riddles – Pronoun & School and Education Activity
Let’s practice with riddles ! Using this game, your students will play with pronouns and review School/Education vocabulary.
How to use this activity?
Display the PDF to your online class and start with one of the green cards. Students try to replace the pronoun with a noun that fits both the theme and the actual pronoun e.g. them = plural; it = singular etc. Give them a time limit to come up with as many responses as possible. All of the cards have an obvious answer, but sometimes students come up with creative ones on their own.
- Green cards are the easiest riddles;
- Purple cards are utterances which usually use phrasal verbs;
- Red cards are meant to be unscrambled;
- Blue cards have students make their own riddle with the noun on the card.
