Help your A1-level ESL students practice everyday activities vocabulary with this engaging speaking activity. In pairs, students take turns reading a phrase aloud and asking the follow-up question, “And you?” The responder chooses one of four responses: “Me, too,” “Me neither,” “Yes, I do,” or “No, I don’t.” The questioner decides if the response is truthful. If they guess correctly, they earn a point; if not, the responder gains a point and reveals the correct answer. Perfect for practicing daily routines, this fun activity is both printable and online-friendly, making it ideal for any classroom setting.

Rapid Fire Rounds: After reading the phrase and asking the question, the responder has to answer within three seconds. If they fail to respond in time, the asker automatically earns a point.
Truth or Double Bluff: Allow the responder to attempt to trick the asker by changing their answer mid-sentence, adding an extra layer of challenge.
Team Play: Split the class into two teams. Each correct guess earns a point for the team, and the team with the most points at the end wins.
