Picture Box: Everyday Activities

50 images to discover, practice and review everyday activities vocabulary with A1/A2 learners!

A new line of digital teaching resources!

Picture Box is our take on the standard English picture dictionary resource. Each offer 50 images presented in various formats to expand the possibilities for use, both online and in-person: posters, printable cards, digital activities, context based, observation exercises, and more. It serves as both a picture dictionary and a toolbox for introducing and/or reviewing a given lexical field. The illustrations, present in most activities, promote understanding, memorization, and manipulation of vocabulary.

In this Picture Box you’ll find:

  • a poster picture dictionary with all vocab and images
  • the images, labeled or unlabeled, along with just the labels to print and cut out for a variety of in-class activities.
  • a poster presenting the vocabulary and images in context with a simple speaking activity for maximum comprehension and retention
  • 10 bingo cards
  • an vocabulary exercise worksheet
  • an HTML file with 7 digital activities to use on your browser (internet connection not necessary) for your online courses or in the classroom with the help of a projector or screen (memory, match the labels, image train, etc.)
  • several suggestions for how best to use Picture Box.

This resource allows for the introduction and/or practice of everyday activities, habits and routines vocabulary at the A1/A2 level and for the review/consolidation of knowledge at the B1 level.

I have been teaching English abroad since receiving my CELTA certificate in Poland in 2018. I enjoy tracking my individual students’ development but love having lessons with big groups! Now that I teach online, I am accompanied by my sidekicks Olaf, Mała, Pirate and Bandit on a regular basis.

It takes a team of 13 to create and produce this material. In order for that to continue, please think about purchasing your own subscription to ESL Expertz and encourage your colleagues to do the same. We appreciate your confidence and support!
