A simple domino-inspired game to practice question-making in present perfect. Students take turns asking and answering questions based on the images they see.

How to use this activity?

This is a simple domino-inspired game to practice question-making in present perfect. Students take turns associating the words with the images by asking questions to their partner or the group. Partners answer the questions. It’s that simple!

This PDF consists of two pages to practice two different types of questions: Have you ever…? and How long has it been since…?

Depending on the level of your students and the objectives of your lesson, you can pick one page or use both.

For example:

  • Have you ever earned so much money that you didn’t know what to do with it? – No, I have never been that rich, unfortunately!
  • How long has it been since you last went on holidays somewhere warm and sunny? – It hasn’t been very long, I went to Malaga last year.

Description

Gramminos are domino-inspired games you can use to teach, review, and master various grammar points in English while getting your students to speak and stretch their language abilities. They are designed as a tool to be used regularly with your student as warm-ups, free practice, review, or for those last 10 minutes of class you weren’t prepared for!

This one consists of two pages to practice or review the present perfect tense with your intermediate students. Just like our other Jukeboxes, it can be used online and offline for groups or one-on-one lessons!

Have fun!

As a teacher of ESL and French as a foreign language for several years, I have had the opportunity to work in several countries and with a wide variety of students. Now my job got even better: I get to help make your lessons all pretty and fun! Rather cool, I'd say.

It takes a team of 13 to create and produce this material. In order for that to continue, please think about purchasing your own subscription to ESL Expertz and encourage your colleagues to do the same. We appreciate your confidence and support!
